City of Birmingham Rockets are pleased to confirm that Marcellus Elfrey will be staying on to coach our Under-18 Women’s Team.
Coach Elfrey led the team to the Under-18 North division title last season and will be looking to build on last season’s successes in the coming campaign.
His side lost just once in the league all season and will be moving up to the NBL Under-18 Women Premier North for next season.
Speaking ahead of the appointment, Technical Director Paul Douglas said,
After the huge success with the girls last season it is only fitting that Marcellus will continue his tenure as head coach for the u18 women.
Some of the ladies will be pushing for places on the senior’s bench this year and Marcellus will play a crucial role in that transition as well as trying to establish our programme as regulars in the premier division for years to come”.
We would like to wish Marcellus the very best of luck for the upcoming season and look forward to seeing our Under-18 women’s programme continue to develop under his stewardship.
