City of Birmingham Rockets are pleased to announce that Steve Dudley will be continuing his coaching journey with us by taking charge of our Under-18 Boys Conference side for the 2022/23 season.
Steve is a highly respected coach within the club having led our Under-16 Conference side last season and we are pleased to have him continue with us next season.
Speaking ahead of his appointment, Coach Dudley said, “This is my fourth season with the club and I’m thrilled to be Head Coach of the U18 conference.
“I’m looking forward to coaching the talented players in this age group and will be pushing to improve individually and collectively as a team during the course of the season.”
Technical Director Paul Douglas is also looking forward to seeing the impact Steve will have on the group next season.
He said, “With the u18 age group this year being so strong we needed someone who could prepare the some of boys to make that jump to u18 premier next season and be competitive in the u18 conference.
“We felt that this role was tailor-made for Steve.
“He has a great rapport with the players and his experience as being my assistant with the senior men last year will prove invaluable with this group as we push to establish two successful men’s u18 programmes.”
