Rockets Community Camps

Each Half Term we deliver Community Basketball Camps aimed at providing participants with a fun and engaging week of activity.

Our coaches tailor sessions to meet the needs of the young people involved and ensure that each and every participant is challenged appropriately and given a great experience.

These camps are delivered from our home venue at Nechells Wellbeing Centre and in recent times we have also taken delivery to John Henry Newman Catholic School in Chelmsley Wood. These camps usually sell out very quickly so be sure to book early in the future to avoid disappointment.

Our recent Easter Camp and the upcoming May Half Term Camp have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in line with UK government guidance. We will continue to adhere to the advice given as the health and safety of our participants, coaches and staff is most important to us.

We look forward to our camps returning as and when the restrictions are lifted and we are able to deliver to you safely.

Rockets International Summer Basketball Camp
Our annual International Summer camp with Hakeem ‘The Dream’ Olajuwon has taken place each summer since 2016. The camp hosts residential and non residential campers from around the world who descend on Birmingham for a week of basketball taught by some of the world’s finest coaches.

NBA Legend Hakeem Olajuwon is heavily involved in the camp, ensuring the campers receive an amazing experience during 10 hours a day of basketball whilst our dedicated staff have a wealth of experience ensuring that both on court and pastoral care are of the highest level.

With over 100 campers returning each year this really is THE CAMP to attend. There is no other like it in the UK or Europe!

We are awaiting government advice before making an announcement on our 2020 Summer Camp. We are examining all options as to how we can make it happen but of course the health and safety of all participants, coaches and staff is our main concern.
