As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in helping us deliver on this mission.
We’re Looking For Volunteers In Areas Such As:
Court & Venue Setup Crew
These people handle the physical transformation of the space:
- Court Preparation: Setting up baskets/advertising boards.
- Bleacher Setup: Assembling and positioning spectator seating, ensuring safety railings are secure.
- Cable Management: Running cables discreetly, using covers or tape to keep them hidden and trip-free.
Game Presentation & Branding Team
Responsible for the visual and promotional elements:
- Publicity Board Setup: Setting up sponsor boards and banners around the court, ensuring visibility and compliance with league standards.
- Shop Area Setup: Arranging merchandise tables and food and their displays.
- DJ & Sound Technician: Setting up speakers, mixing equipment, and playlists to energise the crowd.
- Lighting Crew: Adjusting venue lighting for atmosphere and set up the projectors and smoke machines.
Team & Court-Side Logistics
Focused on player and official comfort and readiness:
- Bench Setup: Set up the bench area by placing player chairs and coaches chairs.
- Officials’ Table Crew: Setting up scorer’s table with foul markers, possession arrow, shot clock controller, and game clock.
Front-of-House & VIP Operations
Handling the fan experience and access control:
- Ticketing Desk Staff: Assisting with entry upstairs, scanning tickets, and resolving issues.
- VIP Area Hosts: Preparing lounge areas, seating, refreshments, and guest lists.
Media & Marketing
Assisting with videography/photography, interviewing players/staff, writing match reports.
- Videographer: Capture content and work with our content team to assist in content gathering for projects. Opportunity to be creative and showcase the team.
- Match Reporter: Write match reports from each game for publication on the club website/social media.
