It was a good weekend for our junior sides, as our Under-16 Boys team advanced into the quarter finals of the cup.
Ricardo D’Alva’s side were able to overcome national heavyweights Leicester Riders 82-77 at Nechells Wellbeing Centre and will now face Manchester Magic on Sunday 5th December.
Our Under-16 Girls were also able to record victory, finally getting their league campaign underway with an impressive 67-55 victory against Leicester Riders at the Morningside Arena.
The Under-14 Boys Premier team made it a hat-trick of wins against Leicester over the weekend as they beat them comprehensively by a score of 89-55. The result puts the side second in the table, with two wins and two defeats so far.
Unfortunately, our Under-18 Boys lost out on a place in the last-eight, losing 96-64 to Myerscough Academy at Myerscough College.
Our Under-14 Boys Conference were also defeated, losing 47-66 against table-topping Leicester Dynamite at Nechells Wellbeing Centre on Saturday.
Next weekend, it’s a near full round of fixtures for our junior sides, including three games at home.
