City of Birmingham Rockets can confirm it has parted company with women’s first team head coach, Ryan Emery.
The club would like to place on record its thanks to Ryan for his efforts since joining us in the summer of 2022 and wish him success in the future.
Rockets CEO, Robert Palmer, said: “I would like to thank Ryan for his effort and commitment in helping us grow our female programme during his time at the club.
“Last season’s promotion to Division One was a significant achievement in the club’s history.
“We knew the step up in standard would not be easy. Our goal as an organisation was to establish the club in the top division and we still believe the roster has the potential to achieve this.
“We want to give ourselves the best possible chance of staying in the division and hope at this point a change and fresh outlook will be beneficial for the team as we move forward in a new direction.
“The immediate objective now is to give the players the support needed whilst re-building the culture and environment to be successful.
“We wish Ryan the best of luck moving forward.”
The recruitment process for a new head coach is underway and an announcement will be made in due course.
