City of Birmingham Rockets are excited to invite applications for a voluntary Assistant Coach Internship alongside Head Coach Charles Smith for our upcoming British Championship Basketball (BCB) 2026/27 campaign.
This role offers an exceptional hands-on opportunity to gain invaluable experience inside a professional basketball setup, developing your tactical, analytical and coaching capabilities alongside experienced leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Scouting: Conducting detailed opposition analysis and preparing player reports.

Video Analysis: Breaking down game and practice footage to identify tactical trends and player performance indicators.

Practice Planning: Designing and executing structured team practice sessions.

In-Game Planning: Assisting with bench strategy, defensive/offensive matchups and live in-game adjustments.
