City of Birmingham Rockets are delighted to announce the arrival of Samuel Toluwase as part of our Men’s First Team roster for the 2022/23 season!
Sam boasts an impressive CV, including seven seasons in the BBL, in a well travelled career which has seen him play across the UK and in Iceland’s top tier.
He has represented London Lions, Leeds Force, Manchester Giants, Sheffield Sharks and Essex Pirates in the BBL and joins us after a two year spell at Division One side Reading Rockets.
A powerful and domineering presence, Rockets Chair Kirk Dawes is excited at the prospect of seeing Sam in a Rockets jersey this season.
He said: “We see Sam as a very exciting addition and the final piece of the jigsaw as far as this season’s roster is concerned.
“He is a very strong and powerful player who commands respect across British basketball and we are delighted to have him with us this season.”
