Nuno Rodrigues Named Men’s First Team Head Coach

Rockets are delighted to announce the appointment of Nuno Rodrigues as Men’s First Team Head Coach for the 2022/23 season, subject to work permit approval.

Portuguese native Nuno joins Rockets after spending the 2021/22 campaign in Angola as Head Coach & Youth Coordinator at Clube Desportivo de Agosto.

Prior to that, he led Sport Clube Lusitânia in Portugal whilst he has also spent time as Technical Coordinator and Head Coach at Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Coach Rodrigues is excited to arrive in Birmingham and get to work building on the 7th place finish in NBL Division 2 that the club achieved last season, he said, “It is a huge honour to join the club.

“I am looking forward to getting started and meeting my fellow coaches.

“I believe that we will translate into work all the ambition that the club has and empower each athlete for a brighter future.

Rockets CEO, Rob Palmer, believes the appointment is another step forward in the club’s evolution, “Nuno brings experience, knowledge and his ethos to our programme that aligns itself closely to our existing culture and values.
