City of Birmingham Rockets are delighted to confirm that Michael Gayle is returning to our Men’s First Team for 2022/23!
Michael, a widely respected figure in Birmingham basketball, captained the side last season and we look forward to his continued impact both on and off the court as part of our exciting new roster.
Michael will play alongside his brother, Martyn, this season with the duo sure to play an important role in helping us realise our ambitions this season.
Having played almost 26 minutes per game in his twelve outings last year, Mike demonstrated his continued quality and ability to produce high-level play in important moments.
As the fourth returning player from last season, he will have a crucial role to play off the court as we look to embed our new additions into the side as quickly as possible.
Michael joins Jordan Dawes, Nathan Ramsdale-Owen and Michael Price in returning to Rockets this season and with the additions we have made to the roster it looks set to be an exciting season at Nechells Wellbeing Centre!
