Birmingham Rockets are looking for talented, committed and focused players wishing to challenge themselves within a competitive and player-focused environment, that concentrates on performing on and off the court.
Rockets are the only club in the West Midlands able to offer National Basketball League Premier level play at Under 14s (Boys & Girls) & Under 16 (Boys & Girls); ensuring a clear pathway for those looking to progress through our youth ranks.
Ahead of the 2025/26 season, the club is excited to be reintroducing National League Conference Teams for Under 14 Boys, Under 16 Boys and Under 18 Women back into our performance programme – allowing more players to represent the Rockets next season!
Rockets Juniors who represented the club during the 2024/25 season will be sent their registration link by their coaches for the trials on Saturday 17th May 2025, while prospective new players are asked to register below for the trials on Saturday 24th May 2025.
Our mini basketball trials (Under 9s, 11s & 12s) will take place on Sunday 25th May 2025 from 10am-12pm before our overflow session for Under 16 Boys from 12pm-2pm.

Under 9 try-outs – Players in school years 3 & 4 in September 2025
Under 11 try-outs – Players in school years 5 & 6 in September 2025
Under 12 try-outs – Players in school years 7 in September 2025
Under 14 trials – Players in school years 8 & 9 in September 2025
Under 16 trials – Players in school years 10 & 11 in September 2025
Under 18 trials – Players in school years 12 & 13 in September 2025
