Double-Header Sees Men’s First Team In Action Twice This Weekend

It’s a double header for our Men’s first team this weekend as we take on Charnwood Riders on Saturday before facing up against Nottingham Hoods on Sunday.

After last Saturday’s phenomenal win against Northampton Titans Coach Douglas will be looking for a repeat of the performance which saw us defeat the only unbeaten team in the league.

Rockets will be dreaming of three wins in a row, which will carry us further away from the relegation places and towards solidifying their position in the second division for another season.

The Opposition

Charnwood Riders are two points below us in the table and will be hoping to recover from their 112-51 defeat two weeks ago Nottingham. Their superior points difference to University of Chester is the only factor keeping them from occupying the bottom place.

Meanwhile, Nottingham will be fresh will be hoping there is no hangover after their 114-88 defeat to Bristol Hurricanes last week. Our opponents on Sunday are currently on the same points as us and will be hoping to also avoid the drop and secure another season in the second division.

Around the League

Last weekend, Myerscough defeated Bristol Flyers by 19 points, while Doncaster edged out University of Chester by a mere six points.

This weekend sees Myerscough face off against Doncaster as they both look to push for a play-off spot; table-topping Manchester Magic play Encon Derbyshire Arrows and Northamptonshire Titans play host to Bristol Hurricanes.
