City of Birmingham Rockets can confirm that men’s first team Head Coach Nuno Rodrigues has left the club by mutual agreement.
The team recorded a ninth-place finish in NBL Division One with Coach Rodrigues at the helm – establishing ourselves in NBL Division One and narrowly missing out on a playoff place in our first season in the top flight.
Rockets CEO Robert Palmer said, “The club now has an established team in Division One and are wiser and better for our experiences over the past 12 months – we appreciate Nuno’s contributions during this time.
“As an organisation, we still have a lot to achieve but also plenty to be optimistic about.
“We will continue to work diligently to realise our ambitions of consistently providing high-quality basketball and developing players that the club and the city of Birmingham can be proud of.
“I wish Nuno the best of luck in his future and thank him for his hard work, commitment and knowledge that he has brought to the club during his stay.”
