The recent government announcement has now given us some cautious optimism that our Hakeem Olajuwon 2021 Summer Camp may now be able to take place, providing the country is able to reopen over the coming months.
This really is our favourite week of the year when we see so many regular and wonderful faces from around the basketball world. The potential of a return to play in time to prepare campers ready for the 2021/22 season is really exciting for us!
Over the past few months, despite the pandemic, we have managed to complete a refurbishment of our camp home venue at Nechells Wellbeing Centre. This has resulted in an incredible stained show court and seating which will provide an outstanding experience and new dynamic to our 2021 camp!
We cannot wait for everyone to see the upgraded facility and experience playing on one of the best courts in the UK with some of our fantastic camp coaches from across Europe and the USA!
We will of course continue to monitor government guidelines and governing body advice carefully to ensure we follow all appropriate protocols regarding camp delivery and we are, of course, very aware of the need to be flexible in our approach.
With that in mind, we have provisionally pencilled in the dates of Monday 26th July – Friday 30th July for our 2021 camp! Provisional prices for the camp, including 3 meals a day and accommodation for residential campers, are as follows:
Non-residential campers – £325
Residential campers – £475
