Birmingham Rockets are delighted to announce the signing of American guard Spencer Bain ahead of the 2026/27 British Championship Basketball (BCB) season!
Spencer joins after spending last season at Boroughmuir Blaze Basketball Club in Edinburgh, where he represented the club in last season’s BCB Trophy after a standout college career in the USA.
A deadly sharpshooter, Spencer shot 44% from range for Blaze last season in the Scottish Basketball Championship.
He also demonstrated his qualities in a 28 point performance against eventual BCB Playoff Champions, Newcastle Knights, in the BCB Trophy Groupstage.
The Story So Far…
Spencer spent four years at NCAA Division II outfit Flagler College before spending a year in the Big 12 Conference with Kansas State University, shooting 38% from three point range during his collegiate career.
Spencer would make a final four NCAA Division II appearance before joining up with Kansas ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Coach Smith is excited to have Spencer on board for the upcoming season and believes he has the right qualities to compliment the talented roster.

Spencer spoke about his excitement at joining up with Rockets ahead of the new season.
