City of Birmingham Rockets’ women’s YBL side will be competing against Lasers Basketball Club in the YBL final tomorrow evening, tip-off 19:45.
It has been a fantastic YBL season for Coach Mintoft’s side, with a 79-62 success over University of Wolverhampton in the semi-final on 11th June now presenting our women with the opportunity to win it all tomorrow evening.
With Rockets losing just two games and winning the other ten in the regular season, Coach Mintoft’s side have excelled in this competition, with a staggering positive basket difference of +289 across their 12 league games comfortably the best in the division.
Rockets pipped Lasers to finish top of the standings by two points having won both regular season games against tomorrow evening’s opposition.
Despite this, Lasers have also experienced a positive campaign, with their comfortable 60-38 win over Bromsgrove Bears in their semi-final setting up an intriguing final with the league’s top two sides set to battle it out.
