City of Birmingham Rockets are delighted to announce that American forward Ronald Blain has officially re-signed with the club ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 British Championship Basketball (BCB) season!
The 6’5″ forward returns to the Rockets camp following an extraordinary debut campaign in Birmingham. Having joined the club in the summer of 2025 after successful stints with Newcastle Knights, Bradford Dragons and Worthing Thunder, Blain quickly established himself as the focal point of the Rockets’ lineup.
Last season, Blain put together a spectacular individual campaign, playing in every single game for the Rockets. He led the team from the front, averaging an impressive 17.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.
His durability, leadership, and high-level consistency across the entire 2025/26 season earned him the club’s coveted Player of the Year award.
Before arriving in Birmingham, the Hawaii Pacific graduate had already built a reputation as one of the league’s premier two-way threats, famously leading the league in steals and anchoring Newcastle’s offense. He carried that form directly into his first year at the NWC, cementing his status as a fan favourite.
