Job Title: Rockets Community Coach

City of Birmingham Rockets have an opportunity for a level two basketball coach to join our community team from January 2022. We are looking for an energetic and dedicated individual with a passion for basketball who is looking to improve their own skills as well as helping kids improve their basketball all over the city.
We are looking for someone who ideally possesses a level two basketball qualification (not essential) with prior experience of coaching young people at a grassroots level and who wants to gain more experience in this field.
As part of our community coaching team, you will be delivering 8-10 hours of coaching per week, initially over a four month period. Duties will be varied with age groups and abilities but include regular coaching hours at primary and secondary schools, competitions, tournaments and camps.
You should be willing to travel independently where required to sessions across the city.
You will report to the club’s Community Manager and Coach Mentor and participate in regular coach development meetings / training days.
