Our Women’s First Team go up against Tees Valley Mohawks this Saturday as we look for our second win of the season after our last-minute win over Derbyshire Diamonds last time out.
Coach Peter Mintoft will be optimistic that we can beat a side who beat us by 15 points back in October after an excellent team performance two weeks ago saw us earn a well-deserved victory.
The team will also be boosted by the return of Antoinette Torgbi after missing our win at Diamonds, with Coach Mintoft being able to field a near full-strength team.
The Opposition
Tees Valley Mohawks have endured a season similar to us, with just one win all season until last weekend’s victory against Team Birmingham Elite.
Mohawks were able to beat out cross-city rivals at the Factory by ten points and will be on the hunt for back-to-back away wins.
A victory for them today would move them four points off the bottom of the table and give them hopes of a positive end to the campaign.
Around the League
Table-toppers Stockport Lapwings make the trip to Yorkshire to face Sheffield Hatters, as they look to close on Division 1 basketball next season.
