Authentic and City of Birmingham Rockets today announced a landmark partnership that will touch every part of the club, from the redesigned men’s team kit and supporter apparel to youth development and the wider Birmingham business community.
The partnership sees the Authentic brand feature on the redesigned Rockets men’s team kit, being unveiled at the first game of the 2026/27 season.
Authentic will work behind the scenes with the club, providing practical growth support for the management, marketing and sponsorship team, access to the Authentic partnership community, and full access to Authentic OS, Authentic’s modern growth software platform.
In turn, Rockets will work with Authentic to shape experiences, stories and standout moments that capture what both organisations stand for — growth, teamwork and community.
The partnership will support every stage of the Rockets’ pathway — from the first time a child shoots a basketball, through the academy, and into the senior women’s and men’s teams — reflecting Authentic’s belief that real growth happens when a whole community, not just a single team, moves forward together, building success at every level of the club, from grassroots to senior competition.
Following last season’s BCB Trophy win from the men’s team, a surging women’s team competing for promotion to National League D1, and continued growth in the junior performance and academy programmes, the promise of more success ahead makes the partnership an exciting one.
Beyond the court, Authentic and Rockets will collaborate to host game night experiences for businesses from Birmingham and the surrounding areas — introducing the game of basketball to a wider audience.
