Vacancy: Girls Development Officer (12 Month FTC)

Thanks to a grant from the National Lottery Million Hours Fund, Birmingham Rockets are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and motivated Girls’ Development Officer to join our growing team on a full-time, 12-month contract.

This role is central to our mission to expand and strengthen girls’ basketball across Birmingham and will include delivery of a specific project in central Birmingham. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, community-minded and committed to empowering young people, especially girls, to thrive through sport. You will help deliver high-quality coaching, build community relationships, support our girls’ pathway, and contribute to the citywide development of the female game.

If you’re passionate about youth development, sport for social impact, and creating opportunities for girls to succeed both on and off the court, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll work directly in local communities, delivering sessions, coordinating activity, and helping drive forward an exciting programme that is making a real difference in Birmingham. This is an ideal role for someone who is energetic, organised, confident in leading groups, and ready to play a key part in the future of girls’ basketball in our city.
