Rockets Under 11s played in the YBL league. It was the first time many of the players had played competitive basketball.

Games were played in tournament style competitions with our first game against a well organised West Brom team. The game was won in over time with the players gaining lots of confidence.

As the season evolved the young players kept on improving. The team had an unbeaten season, winning all 8 of our games before season ended. Promisingly 5 players from the squad were recommended for the Aspire programme.

Coach Tyrone Kinch skill fully managed a squad of 15 – with only being able to play 8 players per game meant a lot of changes for each game.

Coach Kinch commented, “The players impressed across the season and selection for the play offs was going to be very competitive given the quality of players in the squad. I now looking forward to see these players at the next level.

I must thank Ricardo D’Alva and Marc Evans for their coaching help and the support from Owen Lamprey in doing a great job as Team Manager.”
